DESCRIPTION

Rooff are pleased to have worked at Alexandra Palace on one of their latest projects – the preservation and restoration of the North East Office building. This first phase of works was funded by a grant from Historic England’s Repair Grants for Heritage at Risk scheme. Located in the east wing of the building, the long-term ambition for the North East Offices is to reimagine the spaces for the benefit of the charity’s communities. Works included the complete removal of the existing rotten roof and associated timber structure. Decayed brickwork and timber work has been restored or replaced, and a new roof structure and covering has been installed. The historic roof lanterns were removed and stored for future restoration.
