Walters Workshop
North Kensington, W10

DESCRIPTION
Walters Workshop, situated on Kensal Road in West London was founded in the 1880’s, and started out as an electrical products manufacturing company. The business started renting out space in the 1970’s and continues to do so today, renting small units to craft and media related companies. The building is home to a wide range of small and medium sized businesses including music and recording studios, craft workshops and photography studios.
Our contract works involved the internal refurbishment of the units. This included stripping out existing services and replacing with new coordinated services. We also carried out refurbishment to partitions and internal joinery, installing new doors. restoration work included sanding and re-staining and sealing existing floorboards in some of the units, as well as completing a full redecoration scheme.
The project also involved works to the external entrance archway and painting to the external doors and windows on the ground, first and second floors. This was completed via a cherry picker due to the site being surrounded by a small courtyard with very restricted access.
Other external works included removing and rebuilding the existing brickwork wall and cobbles in the forecourt, with new planters installed to the courtyard area.
