DESCRIPTION

The works at Pedley Street included investigations, recladding, redecking of the balconies to a number of blocks for Spitalfields Housing Association.

The building was occupied during the works and we liaised closely with the residents, as part of the works include the removal of the existing balcony decking and replacement of new decking to individual balconies. We hosted a series of virtual resident meetings to keep the residents up to date with the works. We also issued newsletters with an update of the works which included site contact details. Our Site Manager provided a 7 day notice letter to residents when we were working on their balcony. To aid the residents we offered to help clear the items on their balcony and store them for the duration of the works if required. This resulted in developing a good working relationship with the residents.
