DESCRIPTION

40 Percival Street, located in the London borough of Islington, is a residential development owned by The Guinness Partnership. The works at Percival Street fell under the scope of emergency life safety repairs, following the Grenfell Tower tragedy and included the complete removal and disposal of the existing insulation and cladding system. We installed a complete new aluminium cladding system, which matched the original scheme to comply with planning conditions. The new works brought the scheme in line with current fire regulations.

We also carried out the complete internal refurbishment of the building, stripping the existing installation back to the bare core. The new refurbishment then required the complete fit out of the original apartment scheme. This included the installation of new internal partitions, finishes and new internal doors. The residents had been decanted to alternative accommodation soon after the original cladding issue became apparent, and the proactive client moved swiftly to progress the defected cladding replacement works. Refurbishment also included the ground floor community space.
