To celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 we invited a group of Year 10 students from the City of London School For Girls to take part in an Architecture and the Built Environment Day. We were joined by Jay Morton from Bell Phillips Architects who gave an insight into her career and the career routes available. The students were given a tour to see the changing architectural landscape in Barking and challenged with designing a new building for the local area, taking into account sustainability in their plans. They then presented their ideas and we were impressed to see the variety of creative solutions to the brief and thoroughly enjoyed their designs.
