Siobhan Davis Dance Studio

London, SE1

DESCRIPTION

The prime objective of the client was to refurbish and extend the Charlotte Sharman School Annexe. This formed a new three storey purpose-built dance studio with offices and changing areas. An innovative and contemporary dance centre was designed to fit into the existing fabric of the school.

The construct works included removal of the complete existing roof to provide new intermediate floors and a new GRP roof. Acoustic wall linings were applied to the second-floor dance studio and specialist sprung floors for the dance areas.

The project team worked very hard to get the job off the ground.

This was a very innovative and exciting project that required sensitive management of the existing school environment, coupled with the brief to produce high quality training and performing centre.
