This week marks National Apprenticeship Week which is celebrated across the whole of the UK. Due to the Pandemic Crisis and the effect on UK industry, it is now more important than ever to support apprenticeships throughout our economy, as they help businesses grow and develop a sustainable workforce. At Rooff we have long held the belief that “tomorrow’s talent needs to be employed today”, and over the last 50 years Rooff has employed and trained over 450 craft and management apprentices. We currently have over 10% of our workforce enrolled in The Rooff Training Academy, taking part in formal apprenticeships and long term career development programmes.
We are always keen to encourage people into the industry through apprenticeships and this week we will be joining events hosted by The London Progression Collaboration, as well as collaborating with our local College – Barking & Dagenham College, on an Apprentices Career Day, offering our advice, guidance and experience.
Rooff also supports sharing best practice across the sector through the work of the London Region Construction Training Group, to help raise the profile of and opportunities for apprenticeships. Please contact us at enquiries@rooff.co.uk if you would like to hear any more information about apprenticeship opportunities that will be available this year.
