Steve Drury, visited Blackheath High School on July 3rd 2017, he presented a lecture to the student’s on careers in the built environment, elaborating the need for more women to consider career’s in construction. The world of Construction being a male dominant industry, still anticipates and accommodates young ladies who wish to take a step to study the vast range of courses construction has to offer. The industry covers a whole range of different roles once a preferred course has been completed, including such roles as;
- Design e.g. Architects
- Structural Engineer
- Surveying e.g. Quantity Surveyor
- Building Surveyor
- Management e.g. Construction Manager
- Project Manager
- Site Supervisor
