Earlier this year Rooff commenced work on the refurbishment project at the Grade II Listed Broadway Theatre in Lewisham.
The theatre has been part of the community since it was built in 1932 and many have grown up visiting the theatre and even performing there. We recently hosted a tour of the theatre for local history group, The Archibald Corbett Society. The group were shown around by Jon Wright, member of the society and Heritage Consultant for Purcell, the architects for the refurbishment project.
Jon provided an in-depth tour of the theatre, pointing out the different architectural styles used in the building. The tour was fascinating for all and provided a rare opportunity to see the theatre during renovation. Rooff have invited the group back for a tour later in the year when the project is complete.
