Works are also progressing nicely at The Garden Museum part of the ancient structure of St Mary-at-Lambeth, next door to Lambeth Palace.
The project consists of three connected single storey pavilions, located in the Gardens of the Museum, which join the existing building with a Winter Garden. The new accommodation provide a café, education suites, community facilities and a new office wing. The new work continues the theme of exposed cross laminated timber structure forming internal exhibition space, through the addition of a new mezzanine floor level.
The external rain-screen to the pavilion buildings features bronze shingle cladding, which Rooff have had previous experience with at their own head office building, The Granary in Barking.
